Brief Intro: Our Action Research Journey

After a few headaches and a couple of snafus, the PLP Year One Team at Garrison Forest School has finally gotten a blog going to keep a record of our action research project this year.

We have the exciting opportunity, through the administration of the school, to explore the use of iPads in the classroom. We were each granted an iPad for use in our learning journey. The explosion of educational apps and electronic books is undeniable; we are trying to get a sense of the future of the iPad (if there is one) in the classroom.

In the next few entries, I am going to post our earliest thoughts on our action research project, expressed by Faith on the community hub, as well as some further discussion we've had on the topic. Yesterday, I presented our most recent thinking to a group of peers in the ADVIS AIMS PLP community, and got some feedback. I will also post that in an upcoming post.

Readers: please feel free to comment on our journey. We are always interested in feedback. It's the cornerstone of successful learning, no?
