Kathy, Elizabeth and I met in the afternoon. We looked at the survey, which we decided was very thorough and talked through some reading apps we have found.
Our next steps before March 1 meeting:
1. Figure out how many iPads are on campus (Alice)
2. Confirm our Maryvale visit with maryvale next Wednesday (Kathy)
3. Explore the App(s) to use in the classroom
4. Eventually, we will need to decide on a class schedule (we can't all have the iPads at the same time)
Alice - you can count on using my iPad in one of the classes. I'm happy to lend it out! Did you all discuss if all the reading would happen in class or would the students take them home ever?
ReplyDeleteYes -- it was decided that because of liability issues (what if a student loses the iPad or breaks it?) that it will have to be in-class use only -- just like with the 4th grade program.
