As we begin to plan to use iPads in the classroom for our research, we have composed a letter to give out to parents about the iPad permission for their students:
Dear ____,
Garrison Forest School is exploring the utility of iPads in the Upper School curriculum. To that end, the _______ class will be reading an authentic text using I-books or an equivalent reading application. We are asking for your consent to your daughter’s participation in this research.
In order to facilitate this research, we will be providing I-pads. However, if you have an iPad in your home that your daughter can use, we would appreciate your loaning it for this express purpose.
Your reply to this message will serve as your acceptance of your daughter’s involvement. Please do not hesitate to contact Renee Hawkins, Director of Instructional Technology, if you have any questions or concerns.
